In Puebla de los Ángeles, a city of baroque architecture and exquisite cuisine, a dream was born more than 35 years ago within the heart and soul and culinary passions of a family, combining ancestral knowledge, flavors, skills, tastes and sensibilities with the dedication and refinement of new hands, to recreate and offer to the public an internationally recognized and enjoyed culinary heritage. In our city, from that point forward, culinary tradition has but one name: La Casita Poblana.
We are heirs and guardians of more than 100 dishes of the traditional cuisine of the region: from the famous "moles" and "adobos" to seasonal recipes, such as the distinguished "chiles en nogada", the majestic "escamoles" and "gusanos de maguey", and the countryside traveler "mole de caderas".
Our dishes have delighted food enthusiasts around the world, in places such as Germany, France, Spain and the United States, where these dishes have not only been celebrated for their exquisite flavors, but also because of their ability to transmit the cultural richness of a nation proud of its history. Our constant journey to offer quality service to our guests has led us to obtain certifications from the Departments of Health ("Distintivo H") and Tourism ("Distintivo M"), as well as to receive recognition and various awards, such as the 2010 National Restaurant Business Achievement Award in the Regional Cuisine Category, awarded by CANIRAC (National Chamber of Restaurants and Seasoned Foods Industry), and the 2014 Chowzter Award given in London to our Mole Poblano as best in our state, winner in the Best Traditional Latin American Regional Dish Category.
Welcome to a journey of aromas, flavors and textures to delight your senses!
